An Installation Engineer for Cold-rooms would be responsible for the proper installation and setup of
cold storage systems, ensuring they meet specific temperature requirements and operational
needs. This involves coordinating with in-house and vendor teams for assembling, connecting, and
commissioning the various components of the cold room, including refrigeration units, insulation
panels, doors, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Preparation: Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and safety regulations to
prepare for the installation, ensuring proper site preparation and material
availability. Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets. - Installation Oversight: Supervising cold room installation activities and ensuring adherence
to specifications. Coordinating with in-house and vendor teams for assembling the cold
room panels, connecting refrigeration units, wiring electrical components, and installing
doors and control systems. - Contractor Management: Selecting and managing contractors for cold room installations.
- Technical Expertise: Providing technical guidance and solutions throughout the project.
- Budget Management: Monitoring project costs and ensuring adherence to the budget.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality control processes.
- Commissioning and Testing: Performing initial tests to ensure the cold room operates within
the specified temperature range and parameters, including calibrating temperature sensors
and controllers. - Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
during installation, such as leaks, wiring problems, or malfunctions. - Safety Compliance: Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a
safe working environment and proper handling of refrigerants. - Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of the installation process, including
diagrams, specifications, and test results.
Key skills and qualifications needed for the role:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, and
electrical wiring. Diploma / ITI Refrigeration preferred. - Practical Skills: Proficiency in assembling and connecting cold room components, including
refrigeration units and insulation panels. - Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during
installation. - Safety Awareness: Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to
refrigeration and electrical work. - Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and
other team members. - Candidates should maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Candidates must also have strong administrative skills and should be detail-oriented

to liaise effectively with cross functional teams and all stakeholders - Candidates should be results and goal-oriented and driven by a desire to satisfy customers
