Role Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Accounts will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of books of accounts, statutory compliance, and smooth financial reporting. You will work with the accounts team and work closely with senior management to streamline financial processes for our manufacturing and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Accounting & Operations: 
      • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
      • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards.
      • Supervise the booking of expenses, purchase entries, and revenue recognition.
      • Manage bank reconciliations and coordinate with banks for day-to-day transactions and working capital requirements.
  2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
      • Ensure 100% compliance with GST, TDS, TCS, and Professional Tax regulations.
      • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, TDS returns) accurately and on time.
      • Assist in Income Tax assessments and handle queries from tax authorities/consultants.
      • Maintain proper documentation and registers for all statutory filings.
  3. Audit & Reporting
      • Support the coordination for Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, and Internal Audits.
      • Prepare schedules and provide necessary data/explanations to auditors.
      • Support preparation of Monthly MIS reports (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet) for management review.
      • Assist in budgeting and variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget).
  4. Inventory & Costing (Preferred)
      • Monitor inventory accounting and assist in physical stock verification audits.
      • Coordinate with the supply chain/manufacturing team to ensure accurate product costing and valuation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education 

    • Essential: M.Com or MBA (Finance) / Inter CA / CMA (Inter).
    • Preferred: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1-3 years experience or Inter CA with strong industry experience.

Experience:

    • 4–7 years of relevant experience in a Finance & Accounts role.
    • Prior experience in the Manufacturing, Engineering, or Logistics industry is highly preferred.
    • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus

Skills & Competencies:

    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Tally Prime (Mandatory) and Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
    • Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of GST frameworks, TDS rates, and Indian Accounting
      Standards.
    • Soft Skills: Good team management skills, high attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
