Role: Manager – Logistics

As a Logistics Manager, you should possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems. You will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage. You will schedule all inbound/outbound shipments, provide leadership to our warehouse team and strive to keep transportation costs low. You will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining an accurate inventory, In addition to having excellent organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per customer requirements.
• Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
• Scheduling and tracking inbound and outgoing shipments
• Assessing and recommending ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
• Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates.
• Maintaining customer service logs and safety records
• Supervising logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
• Organizing warehouse, labelling goods, plotting routes, and processing shipments.
• Responding to any issues or complaints from Sales and Customers.
• Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
• Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
• Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
• Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
• Keeping self updated on all latest improvements and innovations in logistics and supply chain management.

Key skills and qualifications needed for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or logistics
• 2+ years’ field logistics experience
• Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of Tally Prime will be an additional advantage.
• Excellent time management, planning and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in cross functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
